The CARE Foundation has implemented the MUlticenter heaRt disease Registry: the goals of which are to collect natural history data, identify therapeutic trends, facilitate clinical studies (retrospective and prospective and clinical trials), contribute to peer reviewed literature, and facilitate internationalization of veterinary medicine. This is the first such registry of its kind in veterinary medicine

Funding was recently donated to the CARE Foundation by Boehringer Ingelheim to help support the cardiac registry

The CARE Foundation has proposed to develop and implement a certification registry for dogs with cardiac disease in partnership with the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine – Cardiology.
